So building work is fraught with fear, worry, anxiety and stress, but from the get go Plus Rooms impressed us by being able to calm our nerves. From the initial visual plans in our first meeting, to comprehensive schedules, detailed kick off meetings and weekly site visits. The building team became like Rockstars in the house and were amazing with our young kids, as we decided to live in when doing it. Did we have problems we had to overcome, of course, what build doesn’t – but it felt like a true partnership and they were always quick to respond. We also finished bang on time. Plus Rooms were slightly more expensive than others, but because they could give us such clarity from the get go and would project manage the whole thing, that’s why we went with them and I’m glad we did.

Really impressed with the whole service; from the design, the build and the after service. They were quick to respond to any changes in the plans and the ease of having them involved from start to finish, including the decorating at the end was very reassuring. Both myself and my husband have busy full time jobs and so, whilst you are paying for this ease and convenience, it allowed the whole process to be stress free. All staff, from designers to builders, were considerate, professional and skilled. We are delighted with final result and would highly recommend PlusRooms.

We first used Plus Rooms for a kitchen extension in 2018 with a view to a loft extension afterwards. Then Covid hit… We absolutely love our kitchen extension and were so glad it had been finished before the pandemic. We were so pleased with the result that we have just had a loft conversion done building a bedroom, bathroom and study. The company were great. Excellent communication throughout, build finished within the time frame, building team flexible to add jobs on (such as a completely new roof!) when the unexpected came up. The associated electrician, plumber and finishing team were also excellent giving advice where needed. We have to especially thank our project co-ordinator, who worked with us on both projects and was constantly in touch and available to discuss all aspects of the build and finishing especially if when had any concerns or needed things addressed.
Plus Rooms were a pleasure to deal with throughout the project (three metre extension rear extension, downstairs re-model, plus utility room cupboard build and downstairs toilet move).
From the initial meeting where Plus Rooms came up with new ideas we had not thought of re layout, to dealing with an issue that arose swiftly and efficiently, managing the project throughout very professionally but also in a friendly manner, sticking to costs agreed at start in the contract but outlining any others that could arise re further options we may choose.
The builders on site were great, very professional, clearly walked us through any decision points throughout along with Plus Rooms, and were a pleasure to deal with and great with our young children who really loved seeing them arrive each day.

We wanted to have an extension built without having to project manage the builders in any way. Found Plus Rooms advert in a local magazine, and checked some reviews on line before going ahead. To be honest, I didn’t get 3 quotes, I just wanted to get the job done, and our initial meeting made me confident that Plus rooms would do a good job. If you want a company with a “Can do” attitude I can confidently recommend them – unexpected problems always occur during building, but it’s the willingness to sort them out which marks the cowboys from the professionals, and the whole team was professional from start to finish. Our least stressful building project ever, from initial meeting, planning, building to completion.
After doing a great deal of research in the area we decided to entrust the the project of extending the kitchen or our Victoria house in South London to Plus Room. The design team guided us on the fist phase of the project and plans were drawn and approved shortly after. The project manager was super helpful and followed the project attentively, giving attention to finishing details. He even come to the site after hours on the odd occasion in which we needed help locking up the site. The build team was very agreeable and good at communicating with the kitchen fitters (we used Dulwich Design Kitchens). They also helped us to transfer our wood burner stove to the front room area -this meant opening the chimney breast slightly to fit the stove. Finally, the finishing team, did a fabulous work with decoration and fitting the split brick and tiles. They interpreted our proposals well and worked late when necessary to finish the project by the agreed date. The plumber managed to move all of the necessary pipes to fit underfloor heating in the kitchen area (this has helped us to save a lot in energy as well as to enjoy a nice and warm room). The plumber also helped us to fix the drainage of the upstairs bathrooms, he also moved the radiators to a different location and fitted a tap in the front of the house -used for watering plants in hot summer months. The electrician and his team was also very good. The same goes for other companies recommended by them such as the door and skylight company. Embarking in this project felt a little bit scary to start with but it is one of the best things we have done for our home. We now spend most of our time in this new shared family area and enjoy the light and sense of space.
Plus Rooms completed a side return kitchen extension for us. It is very much their ‘bread and butter’ and they know exactly what they’re doing. The building team and electrician were great. Very professional and friendly. We had full confidence in the main builder. The build was completed on time and mostly to budget. We did encounter some bumps along the way, but Plus Rooms maintained full communication and offered options to keep the build moving forward. The only weak points were a change to the original quote after the soil survey and the plumbing team, who just weren’t as reliable as the rest of the people involved. We used the additional finishing services, which although very expensive, did mean the whole project was finished quickly and to a high standard. Our friends recommended Plus Rooms to us and we have since recommended them to friends (who have used them). They just know what they’re doing.
I would highly recommend Plus Rooms to anyone looking for a reliable and trustworthy construction company. We chose Plus Rooms to build a one storey kitchen extension inc. utility/wc. From the first meeting to the end of the project they were very professional and gave us the confidence that the build was being done well. All of the people involved in the build were friendly, reliable and easy to have around the house. They did their best to minimise the disruption to us as a family (we continued living in the property) and we were extremely impressed with the temporary kitchen they set up for us. The project was completed ahead of schedule and we couldn’t be more pleased with the results.
