So building work is fraught with fear, worry, anxiety and stress, but from the get go Plus Rooms impressed us by being able to calm our nerves. From the initial visual plans in our first meeting, to comprehensive schedules, detailed kick off meetings and weekly site visits. The building team became like Rockstars in the house and were amazing with our young kids, as we decided to live in when doing it. Did we have problems we had to overcome, of course, what build doesn’t – but it felt like a true partnership and they were always quick to respond. We also finished bang on time. Plus Rooms were slightly more expensive than others, but because they could give us such clarity from the get go and would project manage the whole thing, that’s why we went with them and I’m glad we did.

Excellent service throughout – I highly recommend Plus Rooms and wouldn’t hesitate to use them again. Three things really stand out compared to other firms we’ve used in the passed: Firstly, they know the work extremely well – they focus on extensions and conversions of London property and they clearly had extensive experience doing jobs exactly like ours (side-return on a Victorian mid-terrace). They had seen it all before and knew exactly what to expect. Secondly, they really understand their clients. Major building works can be incredibly stressful, particularly when juggling jobs and kids etc. Plus Rooms really understand this and our project manager (Scott) was exceptional. Thirdly, their workmanship is top-quality (plenty of photos online that show this). I highly recommend them and would definitely use them again.

A neighbour recommended Plus Rooms as I wanted a side return kitchen extension with large doors into the garden and a downstairs toilet fitted. I have been ripped off by builders in the past, so wanted to use a trusted company with a project manager to oversee the whole thing. I liked the Plus Rooms representatives right from the start, and always felt my hand was held. I had regular site meetings with my project manager who was very helpful, and the various teams of builders were excellent and extremely hardworking, even when it snowed! I am so delighted with the finished kitchen and it is beautifully finished. Everyone who has seen it are blown away. I cannot recommend Plus Rooms enough for their professionalism, hard work, friendliness and expertise.

The Plus Rooms ‘one stop shop’ model really appealed – especially as I was about to have our second child and we wanted someone to take care of all the admin, permissions, organising trades etc. And they did exactly that – brilliantly. We had a kitchen extension and did a semi-garage conversion and they were great to work with. Our project manager took care of everything and kept us fully informed in weekly site meetings. They stuck to the agreed timeline – a first! – and we had a clear project document that was easy to understand and transparent. In terms of invoicing, we always felt we knew what we were paying for and why, which was reassuring. One of the things that also really impressed us was how they dealt with things that didn’t quite go to plan – this happens in every building project, but how it’s dealt with can make/break a relationship with a contractor and we were very impressed at the positive, problem-solving way Plus Rooms handled the unavoidable glitches. We felt listened to. Our only very small issues were that we were not initially clear on the cost separation between the new extension and the original part of kitchen (in our mind it was all one room). This, possibly, could have been made clearer. We’d also have loved more help making the project more sustainable too – recycling, support on reconfiguring and reuse / advice on greener materials etc. – even though this may have added to the budget. But overall – I would very enthusiastically recommend Plus Rooms! They were highly efficient, great to deal with, have extremely good and considerate contractors and stick to their schedules. Pretty much the best contractors I’ve ever worked with.

We found Plus Rooms to be a delight from the beginning of our project right to the end… We felt listen to and encouraged with our thoughts on a space that we felt a bit stuck with… It was important to us that we had clarity and professionalism from the off and they really hold that as a company… The build was as smooth as we could’ve imagined and the care that went into the finished space of ours is there for all to see… I couldn’t recommend them highly enough.

As build novices the prospect of doing a side return extension was a daunting one however choosing Plus Rooms was no doubt the best decision we could make. Their model and process took a lot of stress off our shoulders and limited the fear of rising costs. We found the team to be helpful, professional and very responsive despite our MANY questions. We think the end results speak for themselves and we are incredibly happy with our new extension!

Plus Rooms were a pleasure to deal with throughout the project (three metre extension rear extension, downstairs re-model, plus utility room cupboard build and downstairs toilet move).

From the initial meeting where Plus Rooms came up with new ideas we had not thought of re layout, to dealing with an issue that arose swiftly and efficiently, managing the project throughout very professionally but also in a friendly manner, sticking to costs agreed at start in the contract but outlining any others that could arise re further options we may choose.

The builders on site were great, very professional, clearly walked us through any decision points throughout along with Plus Rooms, and were a pleasure to deal with and great with our young children who really loved seeing them arrive each day.

Overall, a great experience, and I highly recommended Plus Rooms.

We wanted to have an extension built without having to project manage the builders in any way. Found Plus Rooms advert in a local magazine, and checked some reviews on line before going ahead. To be honest, I didn’t get 3 quotes, I just wanted to get the job done, and our initial meeting made me confident that Plus rooms would do a good job. If you want a company with a “Can do” attitude I can confidently recommend them – unexpected problems always occur during building, but it’s the willingness to sort them out which marks the cowboys from the professionals, and the whole team was professional from start to finish. Our least stressful building project ever, from initial meeting, planning, building to completion.

Plus Rooms completed a kitchen extension for us. We were really impressed with them in every way. We had a few quotes before starting and Plus Rooms were not the lowest, but we went with them as a few friends in the area had also used them and spoke highly. I’m glad we did, you get what you pay for. They were friendly, hardworking, conscientious and did a brilliant job. It was possible to continue living in the house thanks to the temporary kitchen they set up. They were communicative and helpful when a few minor issues came up but these were all resolved really well. The finished build is fantastic and we are very happy with the new space. We would recommend them.

Plus Rooms was recommended to us by a friend and we are very happy they did. We did both our extension and our loft with Plus Rooms and found their workmanship to be excellent quality, their site managers professional and informative and the general experience incredibly smooth considering the work that was being undertaken.
