A really special space with this rear extension

We’ve vaulted the ceiling up and introduced three large skylights all running in the direction of the garden so when you walk into the space you are struck by the contract between old and new. The original cramped kitchen living area has been transformed into a spacious kitchen to include a utility area, freeing the new space for living, dining and, of course, entertaining. The extension is raised from the garden which created a real opportunity to do something special so we laid a large patio with two raised beds and built a walkway leading down to the garden.
