This ambitious renovation project involved extending the house into both the side return and towards the rear, resulting in a striking wraparound extension. A courtyard was fashioned adjacent to the rear reception room and a contemporary timber-framed flat roof constructed to add a modern touch to the structure. To enhance the interior space, the entire outrigger floor was removed and lowered, creating a graceful four-step entry into the kitchen area. The kitchen chimney breast was removed, making way for a more open layout. The works included the creation of a practical new utility and coat space, while retaining the existing WC. The lounge door was closed off, allowing for greater privacy, and a larger opening established between the front and rear reception rooms to foster a more open and interconnected living environment.
