My wife and I chose Plus Rooms to carry out a Side Return Kitchen Extension and remodel of our upstairs bedroom/bathroom of our Victorian semi in late 2015. We would highly recommend Plus Rooms for many reasons.
We invited round several reputable builders based in South West London to discuss our project but only Plus Rooms were able to make our vision a reality. The other builders insisted on the easiest building solution for them which didn’t give us the space we wanted or that all important Wow Factor. Plus Rooms were open to our ideas and made a number of excellent suggestions meaning the end result is beyond our expectations! The breakdown of the cost and the plan in the contract provided was very well set out with photos and a clear schedule of what the job entailed over the 3 months period.
Having a strong and organised Project Manager was extremely well received. Not only was he communicative, approachable and professional at all times but he provided that all important link between us and the building team. We would never undertake a project of this scale in the future without a dedicated PM to oversee the progress of the work and push things along. Even when we were out of the country for 3 weeks on holiday, he sent us progress pictures every few days to update us on any obstacles that had presented themselves and quickly suggested workarounds. The builders were the hardest working we have ever seen and completed the whole project a week ahead of schedule. They were appreciative, sensitive and respectful of the fact that we were living in the house during the build especially with our two year old around. On completion of all the work, and once our kitchen etc was fully installed, the owner and PM paid us a visit to gain detailed feedback on each step of the project which allowed us to convey any final thoughts.
In hindsight we should have asked for references from other customers on the finishing team we had as the quality was not quite to the standard of all the other tradesman involved.
Overall Plus Rooms is a great building company and I will definitely look to use them again in the future.
