We had a loft conversion done by Plus Rooms in 2021.  The project involved raising components of the roof line to turn a loft space into a mezzanine level for an existing bedroom and required pretty significant steel work and the removal of a chimney stack.  Plus rooms managed the entire project, from design, to party wall consent, building work and finishing.
We have done a number of building projects and the Plus Rooms team was the first we have worked with who were on site every single working day of the project – there was none of the all-too-typical no-shows with an excuse of needing to visit another job that day.  The building team was excellent – they worked quickly but also took care and kept the site tidy and organised.  The project ran well, a few challenges along the way meant that it overran against the expected timeframe by around 3 weeks, but we were kept updated throughout.  The project manager was superb and not only made sure all the discussions we had were actioned, but also ensured we knew when decisions needed to be made and what the implications were of those decisions.  We did find that there were a few items that were not included in the original scope that we needed to add, so the cost ended up more than we originally expected, so I would suggest anyone doing this type of project have a detailed look at the scope to identify what else is going to be required (e.g. we needed to re-decorate and re-furnish a downstairs bathroom as the ceiling needed to be lowered).
We are very pleased with the overall result – the workmanship is very good and the space looks amazing.  We would certainly use Plus Rooms if we were doing another project (although having recently finished building work, we don’t intend to go through it again any time soon!).
