Plus rooms extended out into our side return, reconfigured our downstairs layout and put in a new downstairs en-suite, kitchen and main bathroom upstairs. It is fair to say they are not the cheapest builders in town but having one project manager from brief to completion was a massive bonus meaning we didn’t have to worry about scheduling the trades in The right order or referee when things went wrong. The build team were really considerate to the fact we had small children and tried to limit disruption and went out of their way to help as much as possible even building us a temporary kitchen with a dishwasher, washing machine and hot running water. We had a set deadline with family coming from overseas and even with the inevitable hiccups broadly kept to the schedule set up front and again went out of their way to make sure we had a working kitchen and all the main build finished by the time our visitors arrived. One major advantage of the one company doing everything was that there was pretty much seamless communication between all the different groups and where new holes appeared with electrical or plumbing amends they were immediately fixed up by the finishing team with no quibbles. So overall whilst the build itself wasn’t the most fun I have ever had the plus rooms team kept their word, delivered to schedule, more or less kept to budget and helped us find clever solutions to our problems. The finish is lovely and I’m back in love with my kitchen.
