Plus Rooms recently completed a side return extension to our Victorian terrace. From the start we found Plus Rooms really helpful. They suggested design ideas we hadn’t thought of, and they coordinated the design, planning and construction process. We were given a timeline and a clear breakdown of costs for the work. These did increase as a result of design decisions we made, but the basis for that was always clear. We were allocated a project manager who kept us informed of progress and what decisions we needed to make. One important aspect was that we didn’t have to pay any building costs until each phase of the work had been completed and signed off by the project manager. The build team were great. We’ve been very pleased by the high standard of their work. We lived in the house while the work was done (with a really good temporary kitchen) and they were very easy to have around. Unlike some other tradesmen we’ve had they kept the site really tidy. We were also pleased with the work of the plumbers, electricians and finishing team. This needed a bit more coordination by us, but our project manager was helpful with this. There were a couple of times when things moved more slowly than we thought they should particularly in the planning and finishing stages. And as I expect is the case with any significant building project there were a few snagging issues. However, we were pleased with how Plus Rooms, and particularly our project manager and builder, dealt with those. We would certainly recommend Plus Rooms to anyone considering a side return extension. In fact we have already done so.
